A Peel Society reunion in Australia!

Two Tamworth based members of the Peel Society, Chris Muspratt and Gwyneth Brown recently visited Australia where they met up with other members, Jeannette and Roy Hardy.  Roy started his career in the Worcester County Constabulary.  He took a £10 emigration ticket in the 50's and ended up as a "Bobby" in Victoria.  He now lives in retirement in the sunny climes of New South Wales.

Chris, who is also retired from the Staffordshire Police, and Gwyneth, who was a well known and respected history teacher in Tamworth, took the opportunity to present Roy with a signed copy of Douglas Hurd's acclaimed biography of Robert Peel published in 2007.

Roy was delighted to receive this gift from Tamworth.
